Aug. 26: New Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni helped Team USA, aka "the Redeem Team", capture the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. D'Antoni served as an assistant coach for the undefeated American squad who struck gold for the first time since the 2000 Sydney Games.
