Grizzlies Insider Returns with Behind-the-Scenes Look at 2008 Draft
Memphis– The Grizzlies’ popular Grizzlies Insider television specials will return to FSN South on Wednesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 26 with an all-new NBA Draft edition. This half- hour behind-the-scenes look at the Grizzlies preparation for the NBA Draft will air three times, beginning Wednesday, June 25 at 7 p.m. (outside the Memphis DMA) & 10 p.m. (inside the Memphis DMA, following Cardinals baseball) and finally Thursday, June 26 at 5 p.m.
Grizzlies Insider: Draft Edition will be hosted by Grizzlies TV Play-by-Play Announcer Pete Pranica and Analyst Sean Tuohy who will offer a unique perspective on the 2008 NBA Draft. They’ll take a look at the history of the No. 5 pick, plus go behind the scenes with footage of this year’s top prospects in pre-draft workouts and get the thoughts of Grizzlies’ General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace and Director of Player Personnel Tony Barone, Sr.
Also, the Grizzlies are inviting their fans to join them for a draft night party at FedExForum on Thursday, June 26. Doors for the event will open at 5 p.m., festivities will begin at 6 p.m., and the Draft will get underway at 6:30 p.m. The Grizzlies currently have the fifth and 28th overall picks.
The evening will be hosted by Pete Pranica and Sean Tuohy, who will be joined by Grizzlies players Mike Conley, and Kyle Lowry as well as team management. Fans will also have the chance to get autographs from Conley and Lowry and take part in contests and trivia. There will be live music from Elmo & The Shades, face painting, a balloon maker, a rock climbing wall, the opportunity to shoot free throws on the Grizzlies’ court, and other fun activities for fans of all ages.
