Grizzlies announce Summer League information

2008 Draft picks O.J. Mayo and Darrell Arthur headline 12-man roster

MEMPHIS, July 3, 2008 — The Grizzlies announced that 2008 draft selections O.J. Mayo and Darrell Arthur will join Grizzlies veterans Mike Conley and Javaris Crittenton on team’s roster for the 2008 NBA Summer League presented by EA SPORTS in Las Vegas, Nevada from July 11-16. Grizzlies Assistant Coaches Andy Greer and David Joerger will share head coaching duties during summer league play.

Mayo, the third overall pick, will be the highest draft pick from this year’s draft to participate in the 21-team NBA Summer League.

Prior to leaving for Las Vegas, the Grizzlies will conduct two-a-day practice sessions at Methodist Healthcare Practice Court at FedExForum on Tuesday, July 8 and Wednesday, July 9. Media availability times will be released on Monday.

Memphis’ five-game summer league schedule tips off on Friday, July 11 vs. the New Orleans Hornets. The remainder of the schedule includes the Milwaukee Bucks (July 12), Los Angeles Lakers (July 13), San Antonio Spurs (July 14) and Los Angeles Clippers (July 16). All games will be played at either the COX Pavilion or Thomas & Mack Center. Grizzlies.com will post extensive coverage of the team in Las Vegas, including video footage and recaps from every game.

All games will be televised on a live webcast on NBA.com and the Grizzlies-Lakers contest on July 13 will be televised on NBA TV.
